BOTTA EcoPackaging and The Gin Way Together for Sustainability

BOTTA EcoPackaging Srl, a leading company in the ecological packaging sector, is pleased to announce its collaboration with The Gin Way.

The Brescian start-up, which has been providing mystery boxes by subscription containing high-quality Italian gins since 2020, turned to our company seeking sustainable protectors suitable for shipping bottles.

After using bubble wrap for years, The Gin Way decided to turn to BOTTA EcoPackaging to find a sustainable alternative, with equivalent performance, to protect its products inside the boxes during handling and transport.

Following a careful initial evaluation and several tests, our Eco-Self Seal Cardboard proved to be the winning solution for the start-up. As an innovative paper protector, Eco-Self Seal Cardboard is made of corrugated cardboard coated with a self-adhesive natural latex glue that adheres to the product, protecting it without leaving marks on the surface.

Eco-Self Seal Cardboard prevents the product from moving within the packaging during transport and handling, ensuring that the product arrives in perfect condition to the customer. Moreover, Eco-Self Seal Cardboard has obtained FSC® certification, available on request, for paper from responsibly managed forests and ATICELCA® certification for paper recyclability.

Furthermore, Eco-Self Seal Cardboard is 100% recyclable thanks to its natural origin glue, which can be easily separated from the paper material through filtration during the recycling process, promoting material circularity.

By choosing Eco-Self Seal Cardboard, which boast a low carbon footprint production, as an alternative to a virgin paper product, The Gin Way has decided to contribute to the preservation of the planet by saving 47672.56 kg of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas emissions* for every 100 pieces.

The collaboration between BOTTA EcoPackaging and The Gin Way has been reported in Italian and international newspapers. Read the press review to stay updated:
