BOTTA EcoPackaging among Few Companies Selected for EU’s SPEED-FEM Project

BOTTA EcoPackaging has been selected as one of the very few companies in Italy and Greece to participate in the prestigious SPEED-FEM project, a European Union initiative focused on building inclusive workplaces through a gender and intersectional lens.

Funded by the European Commission’s CERV (Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values) program, SPEED-FEM aims to promote diversity, gender equality, and cultural inclusion across Europe.

BOTTA’s selected initiative, “Inclusive & Sustainable Packaging,” reflects its long-standing commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The project focuses on empowering foreign women from diverse backgrounds, creating multicultural teams, and challenging ethnic and gender-based biases in the packaging industry.

“We’ve always believed that sustainability is about more than just packaging—it’s about people, communities, and access,” says Lara Botta, Vice President of BOTTA EcoPackaging. “This recognition reinforces our belief that true innovation comes from inclusion.”

The initiative included the creation of dedicated dialogue spaces, internal training sessions, and cross-cultural mentoring designed to encourage cultural transformation and showcase the competitive advantage of inclusion.

BOTTA EcoPackaging’s participation is now featured on the official project portal, where best practices from pioneering companies across Europe are collected to inspire change.
