At BOTTA EcoPackaging, we believe in long-term sustainable development that encompasses environmental, economic, and social aspects. Our EcoPackaging division, established in 2018, is dedicated to providing eco-sustainable packaging solutions that build on our over 75 years of experience in corrugated cardboard packaging.

Our commitment to sustainable development extends beyond the environment to include economic and social considerations. We are committed to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 Agenda, focusing on reducing our environmental impact, creating a more sustainable supply chain, and empowering our employees and communities.
  • 33% representation in the Corporate Development Association (CDA). Over 80% of our workforce comprises talented women.
  • Active participation in the Mentorship al Femminile project, endorsed by the Municipality of Milan.
  • Vice President Lara Botta serves as a start-up advisor within La Carica delle 101, committing to supporting and guiding future female managers and entrepreneurs.
  • Actively engaged in numerous Research and Development initiatives for the well-being of our workforce and the local community.
  • Collaboration with the Municipality of Trezzano S/N to contribute to the enhancement of the operational territory.
  • Partnerships with university institutions, including academic collaborations, to facilitate knowledge exchange and promote local development. Participation as a company in the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program, endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, dedicated to supporting young talents from developing countries.
  • To advocate for regular immigration, we actively participate in the Mentor2 project, an initiative dedicated to empowering young individuals through migration and mobility. The aim is to establish new channels of collaboration and exchange between Italy, Morocco, and Tunisia.
  • This project falls within those funded by the European Mobility Partnership, managed by the Municipality of Milan and ICMPD (International Centre for Migration Policy Development).
  • We strive to promote a circular economy through tailor-made packaging products and adopting good practices, including limiting the use of virgin raw materials by preferring recycled materials and using responsibly sourced paper from FSC-certified forests.
  • As members of CONAI (Consorzio Nazionale Imballaggi), we actively contribute to implementing an integrated management system for the recovery and recycling of packaging materials. Furthermore, we serve as Ambassadors for COMIECO, the National Consortium for the Recovery and Recycling of Cellulosic-based Packaging.
  • To assist businesses in transitioning to plastic-free packaging, we offer a dedicated consulting service.
  • We strive to obtain the ATICELCA 501 certification for all our innovative products, ensuring recyclability in paper. This initiative aims to facilitate and encourage proper disposal of packaging waste.
  • Our simplified LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) calculator is available online for free, promoting a sustainable future in packaging.
  • We believe in forging virtuous partnerships to achieve our sustainability objectives, and thus, we proudly hold membership in SEDEX (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), the Green Economy Network, and SPC (Sustainable Procurement Pledge).
  • Additionally, we are active members of COMIECO and CONAI, demonstrating our commitment to sustainable practices in procurement.
