Our VP Lara Botta participated in the first conference of the Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee of the Varese Chamber of Commerce. She brought our know-how on circular economy and sustainability.
During the conference, the key role of women in the circular economy was discussed, as protagonists of the transition to green enterprise. BOTTA EcoPackaging brought its own business story to show how it is possible to seize opportunities and thus become a model of green growth.
“The circular economy is an increasingly decisive theme for the competitiveness of the economic system in the round. Today’s meeting analyses it, enriching it with a female perspective that is even more relevant for an economy, such as that of Varese, where companies headed by women have the characteristic of being younger. In fact, 11% of female-owned companies are led by under-35s, compared to 8.2% of male-owned companies,’ this is how Fabio Lunghi, President of the Varese Chamber of Commerce, introduced the meeting promoted by the Comitato Imprenditoria Femminile Varese (Varese Women’s Entrepreneurship Committee).
‘Circular economy means changing the company’s approach, knowing how to use lateral thinking’ this was the aspect of our VP’s speech, which was highlighted and taken as a starting point.
